City law firm Nabarro has won the award for ‘Best Undergraduate Internship/Vacation Programme’ at The Target National Graduate Recruitment Awards 2008 for the second year running.
The award was judged by an expert panel of graduate recruiters and careers advisers who look at a range of issues. These include innovation and best practice in the programme, quality of work carried out by students and responses from the students themselves.
Students from a range of universities attend Nabarro during its Summer Student Scheme. The Scheme is hugely successful with 42 of the 49 training contract offers made by the firm going to Summer Scheme participants.
Feedback from Scheme students includes the comment: “Clarity Matters: After three weeks at Nabarro you will be clear where you want your future to be.”
Simon Johnston, Senior Partner at Nabarro, comments: “This is a great achievement of which we are very proud. We are constantly reviewing our internship programme to ensure it provides our graduates with the best possible training. We’ve worked hard to make Nabarro a great place to learn as the development of our trainees and promotion from within is key to our growth.”
The others shortlisted for the award were Barclays Capital, HSBC, IBM UK, JPMorgan, and the Welsh Assembly Government.
