Nabarro advises on German acquisition for Vega

Nabarro has advised the Vega Group plc on the acquisition of Anite Deutschland Management GmbH for £8 million from the Anite Group.

Vega is an independent technology and management consultancy that specialises in programme and system assurance. The acquisition of Anite Deutschland is a key international acquisition for the company. Anite Deutschland is a consulting, technology and managed services company based in Cologne, Germany, working in the German defence and financial services markets. Its clients include the German armed forces and many of the leading German banks and insurance companies. The company’s three main business streams are managed services, SAP consulting and software assurance.

The corporate team at Nabarro was lead by Glyn Taylor (Corporate), assisted by Leon Miller and Richard Bootle, and Andrew McLean (Banking), assisted by Annabel Franklin. Simmons & Simmons advised the Anite Group. Halifax Bank of Scotland, who provided debt facilities to Vega Group plc, were advised by Travers Smith LLP. The acquisition was of a German entity and required input from German lawyers, including Nabarro’s affiliate firm, GSK Stockmann & Kollegen, and affiliate firms of Travers Smith and Simmons & Simmons.
