Nabarro advises Alphameric on £11 million rights issue

Nabarro has advised long standing client Alphameric plc on a rights issue to raise approximately £11 million.  The rights issue was underwritten by Investec Bank (UK) Limited.

Alphameric is listed on London’s main market and provides information and technology solutions to the retail, gaming and hospitality sectors.  It also holds a 50% interest in Amalgamated Racing Limited (AMRAC), its joint venture with Racecourse Media Services Limited, which is engaged in the provision of a closed user group television service to licensed bookmakers in the UK and the Republic of Ireland.  Alphameric intends to use the majority of the net proceeds of the rights issue to progress the current investment programme in AMRAC.

The corporate team at Nabarro was led by corporate partner Russell Holden, assisted by Warren Taylor, James Archibald, Richard Bootle and Annaliese Bate (corporate), Jonathan Warne (dispute resolution), Cyrus Mehta and Ilan Sherr (competition) and Graham Muir (employee share schemes).  Investec were represented by DLA Piper.
